Well as many may know I’m almost done with my two weeks off school. :( But I do have to look forward to the fact that I do graduate next summer. Yay! So what am I going to do with myself after Highschool? Well I was thinking  I was going to do what i’m best at, and thats continue working with computers, game design, and film production. Sure, sure Ill still go to college, have to decide on where, but il go none the less.  I am currently moving towards Majoring in Computer Science, and Minoring in Computer Engineering… If I can get both at one school.

Well so my room is just about done, ill post pictures of everything eventually…

Im currently working on getting “Project Unity”s website up and running, as well as submitting it for the Intel 2010 Level Up Game Concept Contest. Ill keep you all up to date on the progress of that….

Thats all for now Folks!

Ok, so starting tomorrow is my last week of school.  Which means one week until my Jr. Year of Highschool is over and I start my Sr. Year. Ill have at least the month of June off school in which ill work on Project Unity as well as other projects, and things around the house, such as this week we’ve been working on redoing my room, today we painted two of my walls….. all we have left is the other two walls to paint, finishing up the windows and sanding and sealing the floors. Bout another 4 days of work I estimate. I will post pictures off my room’s progress next week once its finished.

Progress update on the game, I have bought the games domain under its official name. (No im not telling yet :D ) We will launch the website on July 4th. (Yes Independence Day) announcing the official game title, as well as having the first game-play video available after having a few failed attempts we’ve worked out the system.

We’ll post some more in-game screenshots through out the couple weeks, most likely after I’ve finished my room and have time to.

I know I said this weekend we would have a video showing off some of the features of Project Unity and we will, but it will in all likely hood not be available to view until late Sunday night CST Time.

In the meanwhile I am going to give some information about what you can expect from the game…

To start off everyone wants to know what the system specifications are going to be? Well right the plan is to be able to meet the minimum and maximum requirements of all systems, we want the game to auto adjust the quality, and the software for what hardware it needs to run efficiently. We are currently targeting Windows on our initial release with plans to release to Mac, Linux and possibly consoles later on after initial release. The plan is to release the game on Steam first then slowly increase where you can purchase/download the game from and possibly up to have a DVD/CD version of the game available.

Game play wise you will be able to switch between a first and third person view point as you wish the UI will change based on your choice so that you can have the best gaming experience based on your choice, another thing that we are planning is to launch a multiplayer game mode alongside the Singleplayer gamemode on the initial windows release.

I hope to have more information available for you soon, keep your eyes open for a video this weekend still!

Well recently I have finished my new rig that I have been building. The only thing that isnt new about it is the monitor is a 20 year old Magnavox Enhanced VGA monitor (trust me its temporary). But let me tell you, getting the PC ready after having all the parts was a pain. After putting the PC all together and booting it up for the first time, I ran into my first problem where nothing was coming up on the monitor. Ok I though maybe I didn’t plug in the monitor or something, so I check all the connections inside and outside the computer, and decided to do a reboot…. Well after doing the reboot still had the same problem nothing would display on the monitor, at this point im wonder ok… is one of my parts bad because some of them are refurbished parts….

I spent hours going over parts, checking them all making sure everything was plugged in and still, NOTHING. So I decided ill reset the BIOS on the motherboard, so i pulled open my case again and pulled the little plug in it that would reset the BIOS, after waiting a few minutes I gave it another go, YAY I got something to display, I was so happy until I got to the Windows 7 loading screen…. I lost my display again… So i rebooted and again went back to having no display, so I spent hours upon hours of going over the BIOS settings. Still nothing, I talked to some guys I new, they thought that maybe I need to reinstall Windows 7 because the HDD that I had I had been using with other hardware in my brothers PC while finishing my rig. So after backing up my stuff, I reinstall 7. Got it to go to the load screen again and again it crashed… I said to the guys well maybe I need to update the BIOS? (keep in mind I said this before redoing 7) The response I got was “no no no, that can’t be it at all”. So…… I went ahead and updated the BIOS, and guess what, everything has worked fine and dandy since then. So i’ve been working on getting all my stuff put back on my HDD and so on.

Now I am back to working on “Project Unity” hopefully I will soon have a website up for the game that will launch this summer with the official game title and a trailer!
